The Texans designated three players for return this week and two of them will be joining the active roster for Sunday’s game against the Titans.
Safety M.J. Stewart and defensive tackle Kayden McDonald have been activated. Stewart was on the physically unable to perform list while recovering from a knee injury while McDonald, who was a second-round pick this year, hurt his ankle ahead of Week 1.
The Texans cleared space for them on the active roster by waiving quarterback Mark Gronowski and wide receiver Bryce Oliver. Both players signed with the team this week.
The Texans also elevated cornerback Bryce Hall and linebacker Kenneth Murray from the practice squad on a temporary basis.
