About the Scholarship
The scholarship supports an M.S. graduate assistantship focused on wildlife ecology and conservation research. The selected student will contribute to a research project examining how wintering waterfowl respond to unmanned aircraft systems (drones) across wetlands in the Arkansas Delta.
Participants will gain practical experience in wildlife research, ecology, drone applications, image analysis, and data interpretation while collaborating with researchers from several universities and wildlife agencies.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, Biology, or a related field before the programme begins.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in wildlife ecology, conservation, or ecological research.
- Be able to work independently and within a research team.
- Possess a valid driver’s licence.
Experience in GIS, R programming, drone operations, field research, or quantitative ecology is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
