TASU notice on completion of Final Year Seminar/Project Defenses before 1st semester exams

In a directive issued today from the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Research), Taraba State University has announced a mandatory timeline for final year academic activities.

According to an internal memorandum signed by Linus William Naiman, Head of Senate and Ceremonial, all Departments are required to conclude Final Year Seminar and Project I defenses before the official commencement of the end-of-first-semester examinations.

• Immediate Compliance: All Deans and Heads of Departments (HODs) are directed to ensure that these academic requirements are met within the stipulated timeframe.
• Senate Directive: This move follows a formal resolution by the University Senate to streamline the academic calendar.
• Urgent Status: The memorandum emphasizes that the matter be treated with the utmost urgency and importance to avoid delays in the examination process.

Students in their final year are advised to stay in close contact with their respective departments to ensure they meet all defense schedules before the exams begin.
