The Service Compact with All Nigerians, SERVICOM, has urged public servants to respond to requests within stipulated timelines and improve service delivery across government institutions.
The Acting National Coordinator of SERVICOM, Helen Lawal, made the call during the 2026 JAMB Customer Service Week in Abuja, held from October 19 to 23.
Lawal said the event’s theme, “Going the Extra Mile,” should serve as a reminder to public institutions to improve how they attend to citizens.
“It is more than a slogan; it is a strategic call to action for MDAs to elevate service delivery across Nigeria’s public sector,” she said.
The Head of Operations at SERVICOM, Ngozi Akinbodewa, said going the extra mile includes responding to requests on time, explaining procedures clearly and following up on pending matters.
She urged public servants to work together to ensure that citizens and other stakeholders receive timely assistance.
