After 23 seasons, LeBron still has two fewer titles than Jordan. Jordan played all 82 games eight times. Jordan won 10 scoring titles and earned nine All-Defensive team selections. Jordan averaged over 30 points per game in the postseason seven times. Smith closed his line bluntly, adding, “There’s nothing to discuss.”

He actually left no room for debate this time because the categories he cited aren’t cherry-picked. They represent sustained excellence across the hardest statistical benchmarks in the game. James’ longevity and all-time scoring record are historically significant, but longevity alone doesn’t help him win the GOAT debate.

James’ 23rd season is officially in the books. The 41-year-old superstar hits unrestricted free agency this July. His future in Los Angeles remains up in the air.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that all signs suggest James will play one final season. Multiple teams are already preparing offers for the all-time leading scorer. The Lakers are the current betting favorites to keep him. However, market odds show them nearly neck-and-neck with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
