NOTABLE
• The Spurs dropped two of three meetings against Minnesota during the 2025-26 regular season, but gained revenged with a six-game series victory over the Timberwolves in the Western Conference semifinals.
• Ball, an All-Star in Charlotte, has struggled to gain traction since being traded to the Timberwolves over the offseason. Heading into Friday’s game against the L.A. Clippers, Ball was averaging a career-low 13.4 points on 40% shooting and 3.8 turnovers in five contests.
• The Timberwolves entered Friday as the NBA’s top rebounding team, averaging 51.6 per game. The 37.2 boards per game the Wolves average on the defensive glass are also tops in the league.
