Friday night’s Massillon–GlenOak high school football game is expected to sell out.
“It’s not a sellout right this moment, but we fully expect it to be,” GlenOak athletic director Kyle Salala said Thursday afternoon.
Salala said seating capacity at Bob Commings Stadium is 6,000. He said about 1,000 standing-room tickets will be sold, and that tickets will be available at the stadium Friday until the game sells out.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for a Week 2 game that will kick off at 7.

39 / 39Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon seats 7,730 in the west grandstand and 5,570 in the east grandstand. It also has end-zone bleacher seating, although the south end zone seats have been torn down to make way for a construction project.
The crowd for the Tigers’ home opener against Glenville, a 31-18 Massillon win, was fairly close to capacity and would have fit in only one other Stark County venue, Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, McKinley’s home field. This is the first game in Bob Commings Stadium for new GlenOak head coach Matt Dennison.
GlenOak and McKinley are the only Stark County teams Massillon schedules to home-and-home contracts, calling for alternating home games for each school.
In 2025, Massillon played nine straight home games before finishing the regular season at McKinley.
This year, in addition to GlenOak, the Tigers have road games against St. Edward, in 6,800-seat Finnie Stadium in Berea, and against Warren Harding, in 11,000-seat Mollenkopf Stadium in Warren.
