Ian Eagle had a perfect cheeky response to Panthers’ NSFW penalty

Dallas Goedert has some catching up to do. After missing a pair of games early in the season due to injury, the Philadelphia Eagles needed their veteran tight end to carry an injury depleted offense.

That meant he’d be a vital tool in the red zone for backup quarterback Tanner McKee. And, after a trying first quarter, Goedert was in position to get the Eagles on the board and slice into a 10-0 deficit at home against the Carolina Panthers. That’s when he carved toward the sideline in hopes of shaking rookie cornerback Will Lee for a touchdown catch. But Lee wasn’t about to let him go — literally.

The young defensive back tried to snag Goedert before he could break free but only got a handful of his pants. The footage is vaguely not safe for work, depending on your company’s stance on butt crack.

Ian Eagle, calling the game for CBS, summed things up perfectly. “I checked the weather forecast,” he said, setting himself perfectly to prove his dad bonafides with an awful pun. “It said nothing about a full moon in Philadelphia.”

The pass interference flag resulted in a 23-yard gain. The Eagles punched the ball into the end zone two plays later, cutting Carolina’s lead to 10-7 at halftime.
