Seahawks QB Drew Lock off to strikingly efficient start to 2026 season

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock is off to an efficient start to the 2026 NFL season.

According to Pro Football Focus, Lock ranks fifth in the league in completion percentage at 72.9 percent, signaling his emergence as one of the NFL’s most accurate passers through the opening two weeks of the year.

San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy (80.4 percent), Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson (76.9 percent), New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart (76.5 percent) and Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott (73.8 percent) are the only quarterbacks in the league with higher completion percentages than Lock thus far.

Lock has completed 35 of 48 attempts for 422 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions while helping Seattle begin the season at 2-0. His efficiency has been central to the Seahawks‘ early offensive success, with Lock averaging 8.8 yards per attempt and producing a NFL-leading passer rating of 127.3.

After opening the season with 16 completions on 22 attempts for 187 yards and a touchdown in Week 1 against the New England Patriots, Lock improved his production in Week 2. He completed 19 of 26 passes for 235 yards and three touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, delivering a more dynamic performance while remaining turnover-free and improving the Seahawks to 2-0 on the year.

Lock has taken only two sacks through two games and has consistently created big-play opportunities without forcing risky throws.

Seattle will seek another composed performance from Lock in Week 3 as it attempts to maintain its unbeaten start and further establish itself among the NFC’s early contenders, which may give Lock the opportunity to put forth another efficient start and maintain his place among the league leaders in completion rate.
