The Seattle Seahawks have a monumental showdown against the San Francisco 49ers this weekend for NFL Week 5. At 3-1, the Seahawks cannot afford to drop a game to an already undefeated 4-0 San Francisco squad hungry for revenge. Seattle humiliated the Niners twice last year to end their season and deny them a chance at playing a home field Super Bowl, and you better believe they haven’t forgotten.
Some good news for the Seahawks, especially on the injury front. Defensive tackle Leonard Williams carries no game time designation, which means he is good to go for Sunday. Williams was limited on Wednesday, and did not practice Thursday due to his ankle. However, it truly does appear his ankle wasn’t serious, as Mike Macdonald alluded to earlier in the week.
There is some bad news, however. Cornerback Julian Neal and linebacker Chazz Surratt have been ruled OUT for Sunday. Additionally, running back Zach Charbonnet is also OUT, but that’s not really a surprise at this point.
Running back George Holani and wide receiver Irv Charles are QUESTIONABLE. If Holani is not able to go, expect heavy dosage of Emanuel Wilson and Velus Jones Jr. Don’t be surprised if we see Rashid Shaheed back in action in the backfield against the 49ers.
