Romano: PSG “verbally agree” contract with huge summer target

PSG have a verbal agreement over a transfer with RB Leipzig starlet Yan Diomande, Fabrizio Romano is reporting tonight

The exciting winger is having a great tournament for Ivory Coast at the World Cup, and has been linked to a number of clubs after a superb breakout season in the Bundesliga.

Liverpool looked to be favourites for a while, but Romano’s Tweet shows that PSG are well in the race. The insider says Diomande has agreed a five year deal. His club now need to sort out a transfer fee with Leipzig, who are looking for huge money.

Leipzig get the bidding war they wanted

We had heard the other day that Leipzig were turning down Liverpool offers because they knew PSG wanted a piece of the action, and were keen to see what they would offer.

The numbers being talked about were already over €100m before PSG were involved, It will be very interesting to see where they go from here. The Parisians’ sporting director Luis Campos won’t be taken for a ride, but it’s already clear they’re willing to pay something pretty major for such a target.
