Roma hold positive talks with Fresneda’s agent

Roma, after completing the Castro deal with Bologna, is looking for Celik’s replacement on the right flank.

A player who can complete a currently under-resourced department, given that Angelino and Salah Eddine are on their way out, leaving only Wesley and Rensch at Gasperini’s disposal.

Too few. That’s why the Giallorossi management has set their sights on Ivan Fresneda. The 2004-born player currently belongs to Sporting Lisbon, where he has played 2,954 minutes, 920 of which in the Champions League, adding one goal and three assists.

Roma are pushing for Ivan Fresneda. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Spanish full-back is valued at more than €20 million, while the Giallorossi are ready to make an offer of €15 million plus bonuses.

There’s still a long way to go, but negotiations are possible. In addition, Roma yesterday had positive contact with the player’s entourage, who was already sought by Daniele De Rossi two years ago.

If Roma were to finalize the deal with Sporting Lisbon, they would bring a right-back to the capital, so the idea seems to be to keep Wesley on the opposite flank.
