Emma Sears of the United States dribbles during a international friendly match between Brazil
According to Jeff Kassouf of ESPN, USWNT and Racing Louisville forward Emma Sears has requested a trade.
He also reports that several NWSL teams have expressed serious interest in the winger, but the club is not interested in a midseason transfer for their star. Although, they would be more receptive to it in the offseason.
Kassouf also mentioned that any potential transfer could exceed $1 million.
Most recently, Emma Sears signed a contract extension in October 2025 through the 2028 season.
After making the playoffs in 2025 for the first time in club history, Racing Louisville have struggled mightily in 2026 as they are currently last in the NWSL table.
