Report: Rashod Bateman faces three charges from June incident with ex-girlfriend

Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman faces three charges from a June 3 incident, TMZ Sports reports.

Bateman allegedly smashed the windows of his ex-girlfriend’s car with their 3-month-old baby inside. He was charged with battery-family violence, reckless conduct and first-degree criminal damage to property.

The Ravens released a statement to TMZ.

“We are aware of the situation involving Rashod and have been in direct communication with him,” the team said. “We notified the league office and have been cooperating throughout the process. As this is a pending legal matter, we will not have further comment.”

According to the arrest warrant, Bateman used an object to break the windshield and driver’s side windows. Glass shattered and caused multiple small lacerations and contusions to the alleged victim’s face.

The couple’s child was sitting in a car seat in the back row.

Bateman asked the court to remove the no-contact order a couple of weeks later after the alleged victim indicated she wanted to have contact with him. The court signed off on the request, per TMZ Sports, though Bateman was ordered to have no violent contact.
