Report: Liverpool now hopeful of completing 20-G/A signing this week

Liverpool are hoping to sign Bradley Barcola before the summer transfer window closes.

The PSG attacker has been regularly linked with a move to the Premier League club. PSG are demanding a substantial amount for the 23-year-old French international, and Liverpool have not agreed to pay up yet.

Bradley Barcola could join Liverpool

However, a report from the Daily Mail claims that Liverpool are hopeful of signing the 23-year-old attacker this week. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Both clubs will need to reach a compromise soon. PSG will need to lower their demands, and Liverpool will have to pay a premium in order to sign the player.

Barcola is a talented player with a bright future, and he could develop into a key player for Liverpool. They need more quality on the flanks, and it was evident in the Premier League opener against Newcastle United.

Someone like Barcola will help take on defenders and add some much-needed unpredictability in the final third. He can also score goals and create opportunities. The Frenchman registered 20 goal contributions last season despite not playing regularly. He will only improve with coaching and experience.

Even though Liverpool might have to pay a premium right now, the player may be able to justify the investment in the long term.

Furthermore, Liverpool are also keeping tabs on Brighton attacker Yankuba Minteh. They have already had two offers rejected for the 22-year-old attacker, and they are now considering whether to make a third bid for the Premier League attacker.

Liverpool need more quality in the final third if they want to do well this season, and it remains to be seen who they sign.
