Stade Rennais don’t have any injury-enforced absences as they look to get back on track when they welcome AJ Auxerre to Roazhon Park on Sunday afternoon. Franck Haise’s side lost 4-0 to Olympique Lyonnais last time out.
Haise’s reaction won’t be to make wholesale changes. However, there could be a couple. Eliezer Mayenda, who has so far played a peripheral role since his transfer from Sunderland to Rennes, could start on the right, whilst Issa Soumaré could start on the opposite wing.
At left-back, it is Quentin Merlin who is expected to get the nod over Mahamadou Nagida. Valentin Rongier will captain Les Rennais from midfield, whilst it is Esteban Lepaul, fresh from his France debut during the recent international break, who will lead the line.
Rennes likely line-up v Auxerre
Brice Samba; Quentin Merlin, Anthony Rouault, Charlie Cresswell, Przemyslaw Frankowski; Valentin Rongier; Issa Soumaré, Adrien Thomasson, Mahdi Camara, Eliezer Mayenda; Esteban Lepaul. (L’Éq)
