La Liga giants Real Madrid will welcome a leading member of the club’s first-team ranks back into a starting role for their next outing.
This comes amid confirmation that Thibaut Courtois is once again fit and raring to go.
Real Madrid were of course forced to make do without the services of their no.1 last weekend. After making the trip to Catalunya for a showdown with arch rivals Barcelona, Los Blancos were dealt a last-minute blow upon word surfacing that Courtois had been struck down by a bout of illness.
Andriy Lunin stepped up in place of the Belgian, and enjoyed a fine outing en route to a crucial 2-1 victory for José Mourinho’s visitors.
The Ukrainian’s excellence, however, will not be enough for him to maintain starting status this weekend. That’s according to Marca, who report:
‘Few things are more certain in Real Madrid’s starting eleven for Sunday’s match against Racing Santander than Courtois’ return to the goal.’
