The Baltimore Ravens were getting blown out by the Jacksonville Jaguars, whose defense was slowly suffocating an offense led by a third-string, undrafted rookie quarterback. And then things got worse.
Ravens All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton was ruled out for the rest of the game, a 33-10 Jaguars win, with a hip injury in the third quarter. He was later seen standing on the sideline, which could be a hopeful sign that the Ravens didn’t lose the best defensive player only a few days after losing Lamar Jackson.
It’s unclear when exactly Hamilton sustained the injury, but Jonas Shaffer of the Baltimore Banner speculated it could have been on a play where he dove for an errant pass by Trevor Lawrence.
Kyle Hamilton’s last play came on the Jaguars’ 3rd-and-12 with 8:18 remaining in the 3rd quarter, but this is my best guess for how he hurt his hip.

Ravens head coach Jesse Minter didn’t have much of an update after the game, telling reporters the team should learn more later:
“Anytime someone leaves the game, you’re concerned. Don’t know much about it yet, [we’ll] get more information tonight and tomorrow and see where that’s at.”
