The Baltimore Ravens are acquiring veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Brissett will add experience to a quarterback room that will be without starter Lamar Jackson and backup Tyler Huntley for the foreseeable future.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the trade is expected to be completed this coming weekend. That means the Ravens will not have Brissett for tomorrow night’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Schefter reported that the veteran QB is expected to start for Baltimore in its following game, against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 10’s edition of “Monday Night Football.”
Baltimore is still set to start undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano. Austin Reed and Kedon Slovis will back him up, and both signed with the Ravens earlier this week.
Baltimore signed Brissett for his experience. The Ravens’ current quarterback room has no career passing touchdowns, while starting running back Derrick Henry has four.
