Los Angeles Rams legendary running back Erick Dickerson made his feelings clear on a potential Aaron Donald comeback amid speculation.
Dickerson spoke to TMZ outside of LAX and said that while he would love to see No. 99 back on the football field, it would be in his best interest to stay retired.
“I’d love to have him,” Dickerson said. “I think they can win without him. It’d be hard.”
“Would I love to have him? Hell yeah.”
The reporter then asked him, “What’s your plea to Aaron Donald?”
With no hesitation, Dickerson said, “Stay retired. Enjoy retirement. Aaron did what he did.”

The potential return of Donald would certainly make the Rams into overwhelming favorites (if they aren’t already).
The blockbuster trade of Myles Garrett only created more buzz around the speculation surrounding Donald. Two weeks after the trade, the chatter has appeared to die down; however, Donald has yet to shut down any of the rumors.
The 35-year-old is still in tip-top shape, as he’s posted multiple insane workout videos of himself. There is little worry about how he would look back on the gridiron, especially next to a player like Garrett.
Garrett is the closest thing to Donald since he retired. The 30-year-old superstar wreaks havoc on opposing offenses, being as disruptive as he possibly can.
He did that for nine seasons in Cleveland, and now he will do so in Los Angeles, with a real chance to win right out of the gate. The pieces alongside Garrett appear to be enough to get the job done in 2026, with Byron Young, Kobie Turner, Trent McDuffie, Nate Landman and Jaylen Watson to name a few.
Only time will tell how it all pans out, but the Rams have put themselves in the best position to be the last team standing.
