There’s only one team in the NFL worth more than the Los Angeles Rams right now, and it’s the same team they just practiced against in Woodland Hills on Tuesday. According to Sportico, the Rams are now worth $12.7 billion, making them the second-most valuable franchise in the NFL; the Dallas Cowboys are the only team worth more, with a valuation of $15.5 billion.
The Rams did beat the Cowboys in one area, though: year-over-year growth. According to Sportico, the Rams’ one-year value change of 22% was slightly greater than Dallas’ growth of 21% since last year.
It’s the third straight year the Rams have been the second-most valuable franchise in the NFL since jumping the New England Patriots in 2024. The Patriots ($10.4B) are still the fourth-most valuable in the league, one spot behind the New York Giants ($12B).
The 49ers dropped three spots in this year’s rankings, falling to eighth with a valuation of $10.21 billion.
Moving to Los Angeles from St. Louis wasn’t cheap, especially given the lawsuit stemming from the relocation, but there’s no question it has yielded major growth for the franchise since making the move to the West Coast in 2016.
The opening of SoFi Stadium in 2020 has also helped the organization greatly, quickly becoming one of the best venues in the country.
