Since the cutdown date, the Raiders have continued to be busy at the cornerback position. After making former 49ers CB Darrell Luter Jr the one and only waiver claim in Las Vegas, they are now working out another veteran cornerback.
Thursday the team is hosting former Giants and Commanders CB Tre Hawkins III for a workout.

At 6-foot-3, he would be the tallest cornerback on the Raiders roster. Currently the tallest is 6-2 Darien Porter.
Hawkins was originally a sixth round pick by the New York Giants in the 2023 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons in New York, appearing in 20 games with four starts. He amassed one interception and three pass breakups in that time. He was injured in camp the following year and ultimately cut by the team.
Last season, Hawkins spent with Commanders, appearing in one game. And once again in this year’s camp, he was lost to injury and ultimately cut. Showing that he has some talent if he can just be healthy enough to stay on the field.
