Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty diagnosed with sprained ankle
Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty needed help off the practice field on Sunday after injuring his right leg.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Jeanty was diagnosed with a sprained ankle.
It is unclear whether the sprain is a high- or low-ankle sprain, and Schefter said the Raiders are unsure how much time Jeanty will miss. However, it is not considered a long-term injury.
The injury initially appeared serious, but the Raiders now can breathe easy.
Jeanty, the No. 6 overall pick of the 2025 draft, is slated to be a focal point of Las Vegas‘ offense in 2026 under new head coach Klint Kubiak. In 17 games as a rookie last year, Jeanty finished with 1,321 yards from scrimmage — 975 rushing, 346 receiving on 55 catches — with 10 total touchdowns.
