Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty may be one of the most interesting players to watch in fantasy football this week. Jeanty is set to kick off his second year in the league as the Raiders‘ primary running back once again against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1, and is expected to make the jump after showing much promise as a rookie in 2025.
Fantasypros’ Pat Fitzmaurice labeled Jeanty as being one of the 10 most intriguing fantasy football players for Week 1, due to an improved situation around him in Las Vegas.
“Jeanty ran for 975 yards and five touchdowns, and he caught 55 passes for 346 yards and five touchdowns. He finished RB11 in PPR fantasy scoring and RB16 in fantasy points per game… The Raiders’ offense should be better this season. New head coach Klint Kubiak is a very good offensive choreographer and running-game designer.”

Jeanty has Mike Washington Jr. behind him in the Raiders’ backfield this year. Though Washington is talented and has shown signs of being ready to be a consistent change-of-pace back in the league already, Jeanty is expected to be more of a receiving threat in 2026 and increase his output on the ground behind an improved offensive line headlined by star center Tyler Linderbaum, and that will likely show itself to be true beginning in the season opener against the Dolphins.
