Los Angeles (15-25) defeated Seattle (8-32), 90-74, Sunday at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. 14,200 were in attendance for the WNBA game.
Former Tennessee women’s basketball player Rae Burrell started and played 28 minutes for the Sparks. She totaled 22 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal. Burrell converted 7-of-18 field goal attempts and 8-of-8 free throw attempts.
Former Lady Vol Jordan Horston started and played 13 minutes for the Storm. She recorded three points, four rebounds, two steals and one assist. Horston converted 1-of-4 field goal attempts and 1-of-2 free throw attempts.
Los Angeles forward Nneka Ogwumike led all scorers with 23 points. She also had a double-double with 12 assists. Cameron Brink finished with 11 points and five rebounds for the Sparks.
Cameron Brink totaled 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal for the Sparks.
Flau’jae Johnson led Seattle with 19 points, while Dominique Malonga had a double-double for Seattle. She totaled 17 points and 15 rebounds. Malonga also recorded three assists and two blocks.
