Purdue basketball fans in Fort Wayne will have a short drive to catch an early glimpse of the 2026-27 purdue">Boilermakers.
Purdue will play at Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Oct. 22 in an exhibition game against the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons.
It’s the third exhibition contest for the Boilermakers, who’ll play their lone home exhibition game against Ball State on Oct. 18. Purdue plays Connecticut at a yet to be determined site on Oct. 27.
Fort Wayne has been a Purdue recruiting hot bed in recent years, most recently with Fletcher Loyer and, before that, players such as Caleb Furst, Grady Eifert, Caleb Swanigan and Rapheal Davis who all helped the Boilermakers to prominence in the past decade.
Purdue Fort Wayne went 17-15 last season, but lost its top returning player when Corey Hadnot transferred to Houston. The three exhibition games give Purdue several chances to see a new look roster that, despite returning 10 players, lost four starters from an Elite Eight team.
Tougher challenges await Purdue basketball in its 2026-27 schedule with March Madness implications
