PULISIC STARS AS THE USMNT MAKE DREAM WORLD CUP START

A dream start to the World Cup on home soil for the USMNT. In Los Angeles, Mauricio Pochettino’s side defeated Paraguay 4-1, with Christian Pulisic starring in the first half. The Rossonero played a key role in the move that led to Bobadilla’s own goal for the opener (7′), before providing the assist for Balogun to double the lead. The Monaco forward then bagged his second of the game on the stroke of half-time and – after Maurício’s consolation goal for Paraguay – Reyna completed the scoring in second-half stoppage time. With the result all but secured, Pulisic was substituted at half-time.
