PSG submits bid above €40m for Ajax winger Mika Godts

Paris Saint-Germain has submitted an official bid worth more than €40 million for Ajax winger Mika Godts, according to Fabrizio Romano. The full package is reportedly worth around €45 million, and negotiations between the clubs are moving quickly.

Godts has already approved PSG’s proposal and agreed personal terms with the French club. Ajax entered the talks with an initial €60 million valuation, which leaves a gap of approximately €15 million between its starting position and the package currently on the table.

PSG’s advance makes one of the freshest stories in the latest transfer news. Ajax’s response will now decide whether this develops into a full agreement.

The Dutch club has a strong negotiating position. In November 2024, Ajax announced that Godts had signed a contract running until June 2029. That deal leaves Ajax under no immediate pressure to sell and helps explain the €60 million valuation.

Godts joined Ajax from Genk in January 2023 and made his first-team debut against Fortuna Sittard three months later. His development accelerated during the 2025/26 campaign, when he registered 17 goals and 12 assists in the Eredivisie.

Ajax later named Godts its Talent of the Year. The Belgian also completed 85 of his 182 attempted dribbles during the regular league season, more than any other Eredivisie player.

One of his finest individual moments came against NAC Breda in April. Godts collected the ball inside his own half, carried it through the opposition defense and rounded the goalkeeper before scoring in Ajax’s 2-0 victory. SoccerNews previously covered the remarkable solo goal.

The 21-year-old primarily plays from the left, using his right foot to move inside and attack central areas. He can also operate across the front line and would give PSG another direct attacker who can beat defenders, carry the ball over distance and contribute goals.

A package worth €45 million would represent a substantial investment after Godts’ first truly productive senior campaign. Ajax’s long-term contract and the winger’s potential give the club grounds to demand more, meaning the remaining difference could still require further negotiations.

Status: PSG has opened club-to-club negotiations with an official bid, while Godts has agreed personal terms. Ajax has not accepted the package, no medical has been reported, and the transfer is not official.
