PSG could reignite Diomande interest if Barcola joins Liverpool

Several sources have reported that Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola is keen on joining Liverpool this summer, and that he’s even reached a verbal agreement with the Merseysiders. There is, however, a significant gap between the respective valuations of the winger’s services – PSG apparently want €170 million while Liverpool hope to reduce the amount through negotiations, and it remains to be seen if they can find common ground.

But according to L’Equipe, if Barcola does leave the French capital, PSG could re-enter the race for RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, who at the moment seems set to join Real Madrid. The Ligue 1 champions reportedly withdrew their interest in the Ivory Coast international, being unwilling to take part in a bidding war against the Spanish giants, but that could obviously change.

Diomande was also previously linked with Liverpool, who had an offer of up to €100 million rejected, as well as with Manchester City, but neither Premier League club took any further steps on that front.
