President Federation Cup: Danjuma hails Nasarawa Amazons’ win over Heartland Queens

Nasarawa Amazons head coach Christopher Danjuma has attributed his team’s 2026 Women’s President Federation Cup triumph to hard work.

The Amazons beat Heartland Queens 6-5 on penalities to lift the trophy for the third time at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Saturday.

The thrilling encounter ended 1-1 in regulation time.

Danjuma said his team fought hard to win the game despite the departure of several key stars.

“It has been hard work and dedication from the management, coaches, and most importantly, the real actors—the players,” Danjuma told the club’s media.

“Despite losing nine or more players to various clubs, we remained focused and determined. We thank God Almighty for this victory.”
