Presidency announces nationwide rollout of digital postcode for Nigerian homes

The Federal Government has commenced the rollout of the National Digital Alphanumeric Postcode System, a nationwide initiative that will assign a unique digital postcode to every home in Nigeria.

Dada Olusegun, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, announced the development in a post on Friday.

He disclosed that the process has already commenced.

He said, “Every home in Nigeria will get a unique digital postcode as part of the ongoing National Digital Alphanumeric Postcode System rollout.

“This process has already commenced.

“The implementation of this system ensures Nigeria has a smarter, more secure, and digitally enabled addressing system that will improve service delivery, strengthen emergency response, and unlock new opportunities across our economy.

“The administration of President Tinubu is committed to reforming every aspect of our economy in order to achieve the ambitious goal of creating a $1trn economy by 2030.”
