Police arrest man over death of university graduate in Ogun state

“Edebiri Temitope, ‘M’, aged 43 years, who was earlier reported to be at large, has been arrested in connection with the death of Oje Michael Eje, ‘M’,” Babaseyi said.

He added that the suspect had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for further investigation.

The police said the incident followed a confrontation over Eje’s interaction with the suspect’s child.

According to the police account, Temitope became infuriated by what he considered to be inappropriate or rough play and allegedly resorted to physical violence.

The police have not disclosed further details about the circumstances surrounding the death or whether the suspect has been formally charged in court.

The matter is now being investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Department as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding Eje’s death.
