The Philadelphia Phillies’ trade-deadline needs just grew.
Reliever Brad Keller has a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow, and is expected to miss the rest of the season, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
If he undergoes surgery on his right elbow, it would keep him out a significant portion, if not all, of 2027 as well, Passan reports.
In 32 games this season, Keller is 2-1 with a 4.02 ERA and three saves. The 30-year-old right-hander is in his ninth major league season, and first with the Phillies. Keller signed a two-year, $22 million contract as a free agent last winter.
