PFL Chicago lineup set: Carmouche-Bishop title fight headlines

The PFL’s fall return to Chicago has its lineup finalized, and a new belt will be on the line at the top of the card.

The inaugural women’s flyweight title will be up for grabs in the main event between former Bellator champion Liz Carmouche (26-8) and Jena Bishop (11-3). The fight is a rematch from their 2025 PFL tournament final, which Carmouche won with a third-round knockout.

PFL Chicago (ESPN2/ESPN+) takes place Friday, Oct. 16 at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. The promotion visited the same arena in April with a Sergio Pettis vs. Mitch McKee main event.

Most recently, Carmouche submitted former UFC contender Viviane Araujo at PFL San Diego in June. Bishop has fought twice since her loss to Carmouche with submissions of Borena Tsertsvadze in April and Ariane Lipski da Silva in June.

Carmouche went 7-0 over her run in Bellator. She won the flyweight title there in 2022 and defended it three times before the PFL acquired Bellator and shut it down unceremoniously in 2024. Carmouche also fought in the inaugural UFC women’s fight when she challenge Ronda Rousey in 2013. She also fought Valentina Shevchenko for the UFC’s women’s flyweight title in 2019.
