The Green Bay Packers did not have a practice on Monday, but the team dide release a practice estimation due to their quick turnaround to prepare for their Thursday Night Football game against the Carolina Panthers. As of now, the Packers’ injury list has seven players, but remember this could be a very aggressive list, as Green Bay’s players had a game just one day ago.

The estimated non-participants on Monday were:

  • WR Matthew Golden (shoulder/foot)
  • C Sean Rhyan (ankle)
  • RG Travis Glover (knee)
  • DL Devonte Wyatt (ankle)
  • DL Anthony Campbell (ankle)
  • LB Zaire Franklin (shin)

Golden, Glover, Wyatt and Campbell were all able to finish Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions, though Wyatt did drop out of action for a period. Mike linebacker Zaire Franklin missed the game with a reported fracture of his shin, which is expected to keep him out this week against the Panthers. Rhyan, like Jacob Monk, went down in-game and did not return, forcing John Williams into the center position. Earlier today, Monk was placed on the injured reserve.

The only estimated limited participant today was guard Aaron Banks, who is still dealing with both knee tendinitis and a toe injury. Cornerback Benjamin St-Juste (hamstring), the only player scratched in Sunday’s game due to injury, was an estimated full participant.

The Packers’ roster is pretty straightforward right now, as the team needs to get a full 53-man roster to a 48-man game-day roster by Thursday. Assuming that Franklin and Rhyan are out, Green Bay’s other three scratches will likely be two offensive linemen (the team rarely keeps more than eight on the game-day roster) and running back Kaleb Johnson, who was also a healthy scratch against the Panthers.

The only real monkey wrenches here are if the defensive linemen (Wyatt and Campbell) can’t get back up for Thursday’s action or if Golden can’t suit up. Keep an eye on those situations throughout the week.

The Panthers didn’t have a full practice on Monday, but they did hold a walkthrough. The non-participants for their walkthrough were:

  • G Damien Lewis (starter)
  • OL Torricelli Simpkins
  • DL Bobby Brown III
  • ED Jaelen Phillips (starter)
  • CB Akayleb Evans

The biggest news out of Carolina, though, is that right tackle Taylor Moton, one of the better offensive linemen at his position in the league, fractured his fibula yesterday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has been placed on the injured reserve.
