A 10/10 JRPG with 90 hours of gameplay is joining Xbox Game Pass for free in a few days, and you won’t want to miss out on the opportunity to play or maybe replay it. A lot is happening with Microsoft’s subscription service lately. A new update to Xbox Game Pass in November has been announced, for example, and players may take the service as a benefit from their new T-Mobile plan. Of course, this is just a new way of gaining access to the Game Pass library. However, there are also some exciting changes happening to the catalog soon.
As seen in a new report by Pure Xbox, Microsoft has officially confirmed six new titles for Xbox Game Pass as part of the final days of October, and their additions to the catalog will be spread out. These are exciting new games that you can play before we enter November, one of the busiest months for gaming this year, as it contains both the Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for Nintendo Switch 2 and the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6. Before any of those are released, however, you may want to play a new addition to Game Pass.
There are some nice additions, like the upcoming horror masterpiece on Xbox Game Pass, Mouthwashing, which arrives on October 29. However, the biggest of them all is a JRPG: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. The first entry in the FF7 Remake series is going to become playable on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and via cloud gaming for members of Xbox Game Pass, also on October 29. The game will be available for free for members of the Premium, Ultimate, and PC Game Pass tiers.
The addition of FF7 Remake Intergrade to Game Pass will enable fans to play the new version of the game, which was released on Xbox platforms in January. Intergrade is the complete version of the JRPG, featuring the base game with all of its best enhancements for modern hardware, as well as the Episode: INTERmission DLC, which is centered around Yuffie. This is the first part of the trilogy, but it can offer players nearly 90 hours of gameplay, according to How Long To Beat.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is not available on Xbox Game Pass right now, but it is playable on Xbox platforms, meaning that you may start by playing FF7 Remake Intergrade now and consider picking up the sequel afterward. Right now, we’re waiting for the release of Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the third and final chapter in the FF7 Remake saga, though that will only happen on April 8, 2027.
The addition of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade almost makes up for the removal of nine titles from the subscription service’s catalog on October 31, though that is the nature of the service itself. There are plenty of other games to check out on the Xbox Game Pass catalog, including other JRPGs and even the classic, pixel-remastered Final Fantasy games, like the glorious Final Fantasy 6, so it’s just a matter of picking the one that most appeals to you.
