The Green Bay Packers are bringing back wide receiver Kisean Johnson, according to Bill Huber of Packers on SI.
Johnson, who signed with the Cleveland Browns after going undrafted in 2025, eventually wound up on the Packers’ practice squad to end the 2025 season but did not return on the offseason roster. He worked out for the Packers this weekend and was signed.
Johnson (6-0, 216) is available to practice for the Packers on Sunday, but a corresponding roster move is required.
The Packers are once again needing healthy bodies at wide receiver. Per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, the Packers are without receivers Matthew Golden and Jayden Reed at Sunday’s practice, the first following Family Night on Friday.
An Alabama State transfer, Johnson caught 76 passes for 931 yards and seven scores during a final collegiate season at Western Kentucky in 2024. He finished his collegiate career with 178 total catches and 18 touchdown catches.
