Official: Real Madrid release statement on Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez

Fernandez himself has previously spoken openly about wanting to live in Madrid some day.

While that’s not the same as him saying he wants to join Real Madrid, let alone that it is definitely going to happen, he’ll likely have been aware of how his words came across.
“I’d like to live in Spain. I really like Madrid; it reminds me of Buenos Aires. Players live where they want. I’d live in Madrid. I get by in English, but I’d be more comfortable in Spanish,” the former Benfica man told Avirales.
