Nigerians seeing ‘shege promax’ under Tinubu – Sowore

· · 1 min read

The African Action Congress, AAC, presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has insisted that President Bola Tinubu’s administration has plunged millions of Nigerians into deep hardship, inflation, and high cost of living.

Sowore explained that this is contrary to what Tinubu had promised Nigerians when he assumed office in 2023.

During his inauguration at the Eagles Square in Abuja on May 29, 2023, Tinubu had declared an end to fuel subsidy, stressing that the removal would end the corruption in the oil sector and improve the living standard of Nigerians.

Since the fuel subsidy removal was announced, Nigerians have witnessed several increments in the price of fuel, thereby, causing hardship and shrinking the country’s economy.

Sowore maintained that Nigerians are currently experiencing what he termed “shege promax”.

In a post on X, Sowore wrote: “They told Nigerians that removing the fuel subsidy would improve their lives. Instead, under Tinubu @officialABAT, millions have been plunged into deeper hardship, soaring inflation, and an unprecedented cost-of-living crisis.

“The reality has been shege promax for ordinary Nigerians.”
