The Allied Peoples Movement, APM, presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday declared that Nigeria, though, is rich in natural and human resources, has leaders who are poor in ideas.
Makinde disclosed this during the unveiling of the APM’s Reset Nigeria manifesto in Abuja.
He stressed the need for Nigeria to have institutions capable of working across its differences, rather than allowing judicial rivalry to obstruct national development.
According to Makinde: “The narrative to projecting Nigeria as being poor, I disagree. Nigeria is rich in natural resources, Nigeria is rich in human resources, but our leaders are poor in ideas.
“Our problem is that Nigeria needs institutions capable of walking across our differences rather than allowing judicial rivalry to obstruct national development, no matter what party you belong to.
“Political parties will come and go but our national development and the things that we must do for our people they remain constant and we must do them.”
