Newcastle signs Bazoumana Touré

According to ESPN, Newcastle United has completed the signing of Bazoumana Touré from Hoffenheim.

The 20-year-old Ivory Coast winger has signed a long-term contract with the Magpies after impressing in the Bundesliga.

Newcastle is reported to have paid around £42 million for Touré, making him one of the club’s major summer additions. The Guardian puts the fee at around £43m and reports that he is expected to help replace Anthony Gordon, who has joined Barcelona.

Touré joined Hoffenheim from Hammarby in 2025 and quickly became one of the most exciting young wide players in Germany. His performances also earned him a place in the Ivory Coast squad at the World Cup.

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has praised Touré’s potential, describing him as a player with a “really high ceiling”. The winger is expected to give Newcastle more pace, direct running and one-on-one threat in the final third.

The signing continues Newcastle’s summer rebuild, with the club looking to refresh its squad after several major departures.
