Nebraska lands four-star receiver from Pennsylvania

Nebraska football landed a commitment from a class of 2027 wide receiver. Four-star prospect Khalil Taylor made the announcement on Monday evening.

The wide receiver is the 90th overall player in the 2027 class, the 17th overall wide receiver, and the fourth overall player in his class from the state of Pennsylvania, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. Penn State was the other major player for Taylor in this recruitment.

The wide receiver even visited Happy Valley 17 times. However, most of those visits occurred during the James Franklin era, and the Huskers took advantage of the coaching change under Matt Campbell.

This commitment marks the 22nd commitment in the class. The class itself has eight blue-chip commitments overall. This is a big commitment for Nebraska football.

Taylor recorded 38 touchdowns over the course of two seasons according to statistics from Maxpreps.com. He had 16 receiving touchdowns in 2025. Taylor is a playmaker who can stretch the field, and he will undoubtedly be a big-time weapon for quarterback Trae Taylor.

The Huskers suffered a recruiting loss last month as Matthew Gregory went to the UCLA Bruins. This commitment from Taylor certainly offsets that loss and is a nice pickup for Matt Rhule and the program.
