Napoli considers January move for Udinese striker Keinan Davis

Napoli is considering Keinan Davis as a January addition to its attack, according to Tuttomercatoweb’s Andrea Losapio. The Udinese striker is among the options being assessed, with his ability to play alongside Rasmus Højlund forming part of the appeal.

The September 25 report places Udinese’s valuation above €20 million and describes a winter transfer as difficult. Napoli has yet to submit a reported offer, while the selling club has already made a substantial commitment to keeping Davis.

Udinese announced a new contract through June 2031 in July. That extension gives the club room to resist an approach and removes the pressure that would accompany a striker entering the final months of his deal.

Davis earned those terms after scoring 10 league goals in 2025-26, his best season at Udinese. His importance had already been established by the winning goal at Frosinone that secured the club’s Serie A survival on the final day of the 2023-24 campaign.

General manager Franco Collavino described the renewal as a “statement of intent,” underlining the club’s wish to build around a proven attacking player.

When Udinese signed Davis from Aston Villa in 2023, it highlighted his physical strength and contribution to build-up play. Those qualities could give Napoli another way to sustain attacks and bring teammates into the game.

Losapio’s report points to the possibility of using Davis with Højlund. That would give the potential signing a broader purpose than simply covering the Danish striker’s absence, allowing Napoli to consider a different attacking combination when a game calls for it.

Udinese would have to weigh any financial return against the disruption of replacing an established forward halfway through the campaign. The length of Davis’s contract strengthens its ability to make that assessment on its own terms.
