Jose Mourinho believes his second spell at Real Madrid will be a “more emotional and heartfelt experience”.
The 63-year-old returned for a second stint with Los Blancos this summer following the departure of Alvaro Arbeloa, who is now the Fulham boss.
Mourinho has signed a three-year contract with Madrid as he looks to end their wait for a major trophy, after two seasons without one.
The Portuguese coach made a strong start in pre-season, where Madrid won four of their five games (D1) ahead of their LaLiga opener on Saturday against Espanyol.
Mourinho’s first spell between 2010 and 2013 saw him build a thrilling rivalry with Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona, with Los Blancos winning one LaLiga, one Copa del Rey and one Supercopa de Espana during those years.
However, Mourinho expects things to be different this time around, with less tension in the dugout.
