As the 2026 NFL season begins to unfold, one of the prevailing topics of discourse will be just how good Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love can be, and whether he’s among the elite quarterbacks in the NFL.
The Madden video-game franchise doesn’t appear to think so, though it did rank Micah Parsons as the second-best edge rusher in the league.
Madden has been slowly unfurling its player ratings for the 2026 season, and that includes rookies and top-10 players at each position group. At quarterback, Love’s name wasn’t among the top 10.
That group included Buffalo’s Josh Allen and the Los Angeles Rams’ Matthew Stafford, both given values of “99” overall. After that, it’s Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow (97), Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson (94), Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes (93), New England’s Drake Maye (92), Dallas’ Dak Prescott (91), Chicago’s Caleb Williams (90), the Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert (90) and Detroit’s Jared Goff (88). That leaves Love as no better than third-best in the NFC North by Madden rating.
Parsons was given a rating of 98, second among edge rushers behind the Rams’ Myles Garrett, and Xavier McKinney got a 92 at strong safety, behind the Chargers’ Derwin James and tied for second with Baltimore’s Kyle Hamilton. Josh Jacobs was 91 at halfback, good for eighth, and Tucker Kraft was 85 at tight end, good for ninth.
Parsons and Kraft, of course, are returning from torn ACLs that cut their 2025 seasons short.
