The Los Angeles Dodgers‘ season is on the brink. Dave Roberts’ team has found itself in a 3-0 hole to the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series, with Jake Bauers’ two-run home run being the back-breaker in Wednesday’s game.
With Shohei Ohtani battling injuries and the Dodgers’ lineup falling flat, there’s not much reason for optimism in Los Angeles. Max Muncy’s blunt answer as what’s gone wrong this series sums it up well.
“It’s a pretty simple answer,” Muncy said. “We’re playing like (expletive) and they’re playing great.”
Muncy is 1-for-9 with four strikeouts and zero RBI in the NLCS. It’s a far cry from a regular season in which he batted .252/.348/.490 with 29 home runs and 76 RBI.

The Brewers have a chance to close out the Dodgers tonight in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. ET.
