Matawalle Warns Opposition Politicians Against Unpatriotic Conduct

The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has called on opposition politicians to refrain from actions capable of inciting Nigerians against the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

In a statement issued by his Personal Assistant on Media, Ahmad Dan-Wudil, the minister said political disagreements should not be pursued in ways that undermine the country’s unity, democratic institutions or international image.

He urged opposition leaders to support the Federal Government’s efforts to tackle insecurity, strengthen national unity and improve the welfare of Nigerians instead of seeking to discredit the Presidency.

The minister stressed that political competition should not come at the expense of the country’s image, unity and collective interest.
