Notre Dame football will start fall camp on Thursday, with head coach Marcus Freeman speaking to the media on Tuesday afternoon.
The Irish leader talked about plenty of things during his 30-minutes question and answer, and one of those was the injury status of multiple players. Freeman noted that currently five players have been ruled out: defensive linemen Christopher Burgess and Tiki Hola, offensive tackles Charles Jagusah and Peter Jones along with linebacker Ko’o Kia.
More than a few others enter camp with a limited designation, but the good news is that Freeman believes that all of them will be ready when Notre Dame travels to Lambeau Field to face the Wisconsin Badgers in the season opener. Those players listed as limited are: linebacker Kyngstonn Vilimau-Asa, offensive lineman Ashton Craig, wide receivers Quincy Porter, Brayden Robinson and Elijah Burress, and cornerback Nick Reddish.
Many of the limited players are expected to have big roles for the Irish this fall, so it is worth monitoring their progress as the season gets closer to starting. Hopefully they all hit the marks that the training staff has made for them to be ready for the Badgers.
According to Freeman, for every player listed as limited (officially “modified activity”), Notre Dame’s hope is that they’re ready for Week 1. https://t.co/1zySNtIiyt
