The Thurday night football slate for the NFL starts with a big matchup, as the Lions go from one home opener to another in a showdown against the Buffalo Bills.
It was an up-and-down Week 1 game against the Saints, as a 21-point lead evaporated and the Lions needed an extra period of football to start their season 1-0. Despite the victory, the team wants to clean up their mistakes amid a short week of rest.
Needing overtime to escape their home opener with a victory, the Lions now enter one of their biggest games in the early season. The Bills, under new head coach Joe Brady, are trying to keep their spot as an AFC contender and win their official home opener of the new Highmark Stadium.

Coming off of allowing Saints QB Tyler Shough to throw for 410 yards on Sunday, Detroit’s defense will definitely have their hands full trying to contain Josh Allen, as the former MVP is currently 3-0 against the Lions in his career.
