According to Ben Jacobs, Leeds United are interested in signing Mykhaylo Mudryk on loan from Chelsea for the upcoming season.
Mudryk is just one of the options they’re currently considering to strengthen their wide attacking section of the squad. The negotiations are at an early stage – nothing advanced at this point – but the Ukrainian winger is believed to be open to the idea of trying to kick-start his career at Elland Road.
Mudryk joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2023 as one of the hottest prospects on the market, for around €70 million, potentially rising to €100m. But having scored 10 goals and contributed 11 assists over 73 appearances for the Blues, he hasn’t played at all since November 2024 due to a provisional four-year ban for doping.
The case has now been resolved and the ban lifted, and the 25-year-old is obviously keen to make up for the time he lost while away from the pitch.
